Jonathan Swift

Hello. My name is Masako Suyama.
I would like to post about Jonathan Swift. A famous novel named “Gulliver's Travels” which was made into a movie again recently was written by him. It was not until I took this class that I know his works in detail.
His works include satire on the government or human beings. In Gulliver’s Travels, there are many fantastic places where Gulliver encounters lots of strange thing. These strange things show Jonathan’s criticism or dislike for society.
At first sight, his works seem to be interesting stories for children. But for adults or people who are interested in society, his works would be more attractive.
