the Canterbury Tales

Hello, my name is Natsumi Inoguchi. I would like to post about the Canterbury Tales by Chaucer. Before I started to study this Literature class, I know the title of this story. But, I had never read this novel. I had not known that this story is frame story. People said, Chaucer who wrote down this story had read "Decameron" which was written by Giovannni Boccaccio. Decameron is frame story too, so he may refer from this style. Stories which some character in this story talked about are not only original but also true story. And genre are many types, example, romance, narrative lay, preach, allegory and fabliaux.
