Beowulf

Hello. My name is Misaki Kajikawa. I would like to post about Beowulf. This is one of the oldest English literatures. So the author of Beowulf is unknown. It is written between the 8^th Century and 11^th Century and the dialect is old English. It is difficult for present people to read old English because it much differs from modern English. There are many characters which are strange forms in the text. Beowulf is valuable work from the standpoint of linguistics. I am very interested in how had English shape been changed for a long time.
