Gulliver's Travels

Hello, my name is Kasumi Takahashi. I would like to post about Gulliver's Travels. This is first time to read Gulliver's Travels, and I could enjoy this book very much. When I finished reading all chapters, I realized that the author wanted people to know the world in wars in those days. I didn't know well about the wars among European countries for plantations. Although Gulliver thought that England was the strongest country in the world at first, this was not true, and he could understand that the life in wars is not everything. Let me summarize a little about the Gulliver's first journey to Lilliput. When he was seventeen years old, he left his school and travelled on a ship Antelope to the South Seas. On his way to the East Indies, a terrible weather changed his way to home. Some of the sailors died, and he finally was alone. Fortunately, he was alive, and reached a world in smaller people.
